The countdown begins!

I have successfully gotten all of the shots I needed for my trip! That gives me a wonderful feeling since I do not like shots at all! But thankfully I survived without fainting, all for the beautiful kids I am going to meet and fall in love with! I leave in 10 days! It's unbeleivable! All fear and nervousness has fled, an only excitement remains. It's starting to feel like its actually happening. The counting down and packing has begun! So far everything has gone smoothly! I'm so thankful for this opportunity and I'm beyond excited to see what God has in the next month for me and my team of 5. Thanks for your continual prayers and support! More updates to come! Beginnings

I have been given the opportunity this summer to travel to Nakaseke, Uganda to work with the organization called Simone's kids. (www.simoneskids.com) I will be helping out in the health clinic, building the children a playground, taking the kids on a field trip, gathering research in the villages, going on a safari, and building relationships with the kids. It will be a life changing experience and I can't wait to go see what God has in store!

I am proud to announce my trip is finally paid off!! Through God working and providing in my life and through the lives of all who have been praying and helping support me financially I have been able to raise the money needed in just over two months. 

I am so blessed to be given this opportunity and through this blog will keep people up to date on my travels as well as any needed pray requests. 

Thanks to all who have provided me the means to take advantage of this opportunity! I can't wait! I will be leaving in just under 3 weeks so keep me in your prayers as I finish up the things I need to do here before my adventure begins!
